1 week down...

First  let me say I am updating from my phone,  so if there are typos you know why!

Now...  first week is complete.  I seriously thought I was going to update every day this week and everyday decided I was to tired when I sat down to do it.

I  would call week 1 a huge success.  I always stress that I am not going to pull it off  and some how I always do.

What worked...  Got a new planner this year.   It is one by Debra Bell.   So far... I  love it!

Workboxes... LOVE THEM!!!   My children could literally do Workboxes all day and be content.   My only fail with them is how many to use.   My Pk had 6  boxes,   my thought was  average attention span of a 4  year old...  is 4-5  mins. So I  thought I  might get 45  mins of time with all the boxes  between the 5  mins and her transition time.  Wrong!!!  my pk...  thinks this is the greatest thing every and play about 30 min for each box.

- will cont. later!!!

Our "Living School"

We normally have had a school room but the family has out grown using bedrooms... and the office turned into a nursery.  About 3  months ago I  started exploring  the option of covering the LR  into a  school room.  I am so excited about the way it turned out. As  things started coming together my 11 year old  said " Mom... I really like our living school."   and so it stuck.   What a blessing my children are  too me!

The drawers are " lockers"  each child has there own and I have a turn in box on top.  Also these desk are awesome also.  $74 ea at Ikea and they come with a bookshelf!

My hubby found this desk on the curb took it home and fixed it up.   It is perfect for my7  year old!!

OK... So I am new to this whole concept of "Blogging."  I know there are lots of people who do it, so I am giving this a shot.  I have lots of ideas for my 2013-14 school year, and decided to start a blog to keep them sorted.

The first main project that I am going to do is a Flat Stanley project.  The 3 middle children are going to make "flat themselves" and we are going to send them to various locations and report there progress on here.

BTW... "Oh, You Homeschool..." was chosen because it seems to be the first reaction of the average person. Sometimes they mean it in a good way and sometimes it is in a bad way.  Either way, it seemed like a fitting title.

Well that's all I have... NOT an exciting first post, but it is what it is.
